Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearing


Characteristics: Double row angular contact ball bearing is a unit composed of inner ring, outer ring, ball and solid retainer components. The retainer can be made from nylon, punching steel plate or brass. The structure of double row angular contact ball bearing is similar with a pair of slightly narrowed O-type arrangement angular contact ball bearing. The difference is design of contact angle and ferrule. The bearing is designed to open type and sealed type. Due to standardized manufacturing procedure, a groove is installed on outer ring of open bearing for placing seal ring or dust cover. Sealed bearing is maintained for free; therefore, especially economical bearing arrangement form can be achieved. The angular regulatory function of angular contact ball bearing is very limited.


Radial and axial bearing capacity: Double row angular contact ball bearing can bear bidirectional axial force and higher radial force. Double row angular contact ball bearing is especially suitable for bearing arrangement to achieve axial rigidity guidance. Axial bearing capacity depends on contact angle; i.e., the bigger the contact angle is (the contact angleα=25°, 35° and 45°), the bigger the axial load bore by the bearing is.


Without ball gap: 38..-B, 30..-B, 32..-B and 33..-B series of bearings are inseparable and there is no ball gap on the surface of ferrule. The contact angle α is 25°. The bearing capacity of double row angular contact ball bearing is the same at two directions and these bearings are used widely.


With ball gap: 32 and 33 series of angular contact ball bearings are inseparable and the ball gap is installed on one side with the contact angle α of 35°. Ensure that the rollaway nest at one side without ball gap is used for bearing main load during installation of these series of bearings.


With double inner rings: 33..-DA series of bearings are of double inner ring structure. The contact angle α is 45°, therefore, it can bear big axial load at two directions. Double inner rings are matched with specific bearings, even for the bearings with the same dimension; their double inner rings cannot be exchanged.


Sealing: Suffix 2RSR of 38..-B、30..-B、32..-B、33..-B series of bearings indicate that the both sides are sealed in lip type. Contact sealing is used for preventing invasion of dust, pollutants and moisture. Suffix 2Z indicates that both sides of the bearings are sealed in gap type.


Lubrication: Sealed bearing is lubricated by lubricating grease with high quality, and they can also be lubricated by grease or oil.


Operating temperature: The operating temperature of open angular contact ball bearing is from -30°C to +150°C. Restricted by materials of retainer, the operating temperature of bearing adopting glass fiber reinforced nylon retainer can reach +120°C. Limited by lubricating agent and sealing materials, the operating temperature of bearings whose suffix is 2RSR can reach +110°C.


Retainer: The bearings without retainer suffix adopt standard retainers made from punching steel plate while the suffix of angular contact ball bearing which adopt glass fiber reinforced nylon solid retainer is TVH. Suffix M indicates the bearing is equipped with brass solid retainer guided by the ball. Suffix MA indicates the bearing is equipped with brass solid retainer guided by outer ring. Check chemical stability of nylon on synthetic grease and lubricating agent with extreme pressure additive. Under high temperature, aged lubricating oil and additive in the oil will reduce operating life of nylon retainer. Therefore, it must strictly follow the replacement cycle of lubricating oil.
