Self-aligning Roller Bearing


Characteristics: Self-aligning roller bearing is a double row inseparable bearing, including solid outer ring with spherical raceway, solid inner ring and barrel-shaped roller with retainer, and inner ring with cylindrical bore or conical bore. The position of symmetrical barrel-shaped roller can be adjusted freely in the rollaway nest of outer ring sphere. Therefore, the bending of axle and misalignment of fitting face can be compensated. Please refer to compensation in angle misalignment.


Radial and axial bearing capacity: Self-aligning roller bearing can bear bidirectional axial force and big radial force. They are designed for high bearing capacity because they own as much and long barrel-shaped rollers as possible. Self-aligning roller bearing is also suitable for extremely heavy load. The optimized adaptation between roller and rollaway nest ensures even stress distribution inside the bearing.


Compensation of angle misalignment: Self-aligning roller can compensate angle misalignment and the corresponding load P of allowed adjusting angle shall be less than 0.1°Cr. Please refer to the table below. These adjusting angles are allowed, if:

█ Angle misalignment is constant (static angle misalignment)

█ Inner ring is rotating parts.


Reduction of adjusting angle: If the outer ring rotates and the inner ring conducts pendulum motion or if the adjusting angle is greater than the value in the table, the allowed adjusting angle of bearing will become small. In case of the condition above, please contact us.
